Contemporary ideology is dead, having lost out to intolerance, misinformation, and/or obsolescence. Politics is plagued by narcissists, incompetents, and sycophants who enable them. Society is in moral decline, and not simply for reasons the media or influencers from either side of the relic known as the political spectrum would have you believe. The global economy is unstable, highly unequal even within domestic spheres, and incredibly disjointed cross-continent. Neo-liberalism has gutted and replaced any conception of ‘good governance’ with a new, multi-polar global order of surveillance capitalism, which will forever ride roughshod over the rule of law, and is the progenitor for democratic backsliding, and the death of the free world. This is symptomatic of a general population overloaded by information to which they have neither the time nor effort to investigate the authenticity of; where performative action through the veil of group-think otherness is valued above individual forethought, and through the increasing convolution of our own civilisation’s development, we are forced to specialise more vertically, instead of learning across disciplines, horizontally.
How do we fix the dire state of affairs we are under?
I can answer that in one acronym: ESC. To learn more, I kindly ask that you to read my introductory post…
And, of course, if you like what I have to say, please consider subscribing to my page. It costs you nothing, and it makes what I do worthwhile.
Many thanks.
